Our Ireland Tour; Slea Head Dingle Peninsula

On the west coast of Ireland there is the Dingle Peninsula and what a beautiful place it is. After our overnight stay in Limerick, we headed to this area.

We had a little time in the town of Dingle to wander around.

The fish and chip shop that the tour director recommended had a huge queue but we found an alternative which turned out to be a winner! It was a caravan selling food and drinks and the food was delicious.

Being a Murphy through my mother’s side of the family I took delight in photographing any Murphy businesses 😆.

The town had lots of interesting buildings.

We had been told about a dolphin called Fungi who had adopted the town of Dingle. There was even a statue of him; and DH couldn’t resist...

Here’s a little bit about Fungi; it’s a quite amazing story!

So then it was time to head for Slea Head.

The roads were narrow, steep at times and winding...

We were making our way to Slea Head and tour buses have an agreement to drive only in one direction only, as passing would be impossible.

Beautiful beautiful countryside!
