Back home and back into the routine...

DH and I flew from Hong Kong on Sunday, arriving in Brisbane at 11.38 pm. Having ePassports meant we were out of the terminal in no time and on our way home. A quick stop at a Service Station for milk and eggs and we were home by 12.30 where Eduardo greeted us enthusiastically :-).
Eddie decided that he would sleep on yours truly; that way he would be alerted if we went away again. :-)

On Monday I headed off to Scarborough for the Monthly Knit and Natter. Monday was a special one as the Mothers' Day multi draw raffle was being drawn.

I had arrived late (as I had slept in) but still got there in time to draw out a prize winner. The winner of the throw that I had donated had already been drawn out and it was one of the members who, with her 2 daughters, makes an incredible number of items for K4BN each year.

Then a large birthday cake was brought out to celebrate May birthdays, in particular Peter's birthday which had been the day before. Peter's wife started K4BN and Peter has provided her and the group with so much support; he is one special man.

Peter loves Show and Tell time and once again he took the lead in this, making sure that we all got to see each others' work. The number of items was impressive...bags of beanies, toys, gloves and beanie sets, jumpers and many rugs in varying sizes.
Here is just a small section of the donations brought in that day...
A bag of toys...

Some teddies knitted in Indigenous colours...

Just one of the many rugs...

A large blanket (it's folded in half in the pic) in Indigenous colours...

An adult sized jumper...

A toddler's jumper...

A cute hat...

A lovely knitted vest...

It is so nice to be home and getting back into the familiar routines.
I will continue to write occasional posts about the rest of our trip, and share photos that we took. I loved all the places that I went to, but especially loved meeting up with Janice in the beautiful and historical village Hebden Bridge, And also catching up with Heather and Alison. There were lots of highlights but maybe the Dawn Service for ANZAC Day and the Falkirk Wheel were a smidgen ahead of all those other places :-)
