Day 4...

Thank you for the lovely comments on my Giveaway posts. Today, I have something for the people who love to knit or crochet.

This Patons yarn is so soft and has little sequins threaded throughout. It knits and crochets up beautifully, and one ball goes a long way. I have knitted lacy scarves with this yarn, but the first time I  ever saw this yarn it was being crocheted into a scarf...and looked lovely.
Today's Giveaway is for 2 balls of Patons Lace.

One more Giveaway tomorrow and this one features the work of an Aussie and fellow blogger. Comments can continue to be left on all 5 posts right up until Monday, January 19, 7pm, EST (Australia)
Talking of knitting/crocheting...I had set aside time after Christmas into January, to continue to join donated knitted/crocheted squares into blankets for Knitting For Brisbane's Needy. I had put that ongoing task aside during the latter months of 2014, and having not quite 400 crocheted squares sitting idle in my sewing room, something had to be done. Once I got started after DH came home from hospital, I've been on a rollL lol. The ends still have to be neatened off but 10 single bed size blankets have been made.

I have enough squares to make 3 more blankets out of the crocheted ones that have been donated. And then, there are the knitted squares...about 200 of those to join as well! :-)

I think it would probably take me about 10 years to sew that many blankets together!! There will be a lot of grateful people.

Gosh, you've been busy with all those squares. With winter not too far away, isn't it a nice feeling to know that our craft will keep someone nice and cozy. xox

That's one of my favorite yarn brands.
The blankets you are making -- so generous of you. And you must be really fast to get so many squares done!

Umm just the right colour to make my best friend a new knitted teacosy. Her collection of gorgeous crockery including her Spode teapot is blue and I noticed at Christmas that her current one had been attacked by moths....naughty little creatures.
