Our visit to Hoki Quilts...

Tucked away in Hokitika is the sweetest little quilt shop. It is owned by Michele Armstrong and although she had closed the shop for the day, when she saw our car pull up in the driveway, she opened up the shop just for us! It's a small world, as Miche'le knows quite a few Aussie quilters and was in Hobart last year for that gathering. She plans to be at the Melbourne gathering next year!

My SIL and I had a wonderful time looking at all the goodies that Miche'le has in the shop and we both left the shop with some wonderful 'booty'

Miche'le's little assistant...
Finding this shop of treasures has made up for the Christchurch Arts Centre being closed... lol

Now THAT'S what I call service. Some Tasmanian businesses could take note. What a nice little shop. I wonder if she knows my blog friend "The Slightly Mad Quilt Lady" heh heh.

It looks like a lovely shop - great timing - and lucky she could open up for you. Its always an eye opener to see other shops - even if they stick similar stuff to what you are used to you see it in a different light.

Oh Maria you are so very kind - thankyou for such lovely compliments. I should hire you as my own PR firm, LOL.
Have a wonderful trip and know, I'm more than happy to open up for any friendly crafty people.
hugs
