Nik's foot after the temporary plaster was removed! |
After dropping her off at the Camp Hill address we continued to the seaside suburb of Manly (the Brisbane one not Sydney!) for a late lunch at the lovely cafe on the jetty there. Then after a stop to buy some seafood we headed back home late afternoon. Then it was out again that night for a birthday celebration for DH's DD1 who was back in Brisbane for the weekend from her teaching job in country Wandoan. We went to the local hotel in our suburb.
Next day we caught up with friends at our parish church then DH went to see our nephew play football while I used the new slow cooker to make a lamb shank casserole. It was a good game of football with Rowan playing exceptionally well according to DH when he arrived home with a meat tray that he had won. How wonderful!!
By then it was time for us to head of to my BIL and SIL's place for an afternoon tea to celebrate BIL's birthday. There we ate far too much food especially the hot savouries and pastries! Needless to say we didn't bother with dinner when we arrived home at 6pm!

Sounds like a busy, but lucky day too. The meat tray is amazing - way to go! When I saw the picture I got worried it was your foot - :-)!
