Our Ireland Tour

I thought I’d share some more photos of Dublin from when we were out and about before the tour and some from the first day of the tour. ( the tour actually started on Day 1 at 3pm; quite strange to us! Lol)
Random street scenes...
The post boxes are green! We wrote out 5 postcards on our second day in Dublin and posted them off to our granddaughters. We got word 2 days ago that all of them had received their postcards.

And one day I spotted a little pedal powered postal
van.

I reckoned one couldn’t visit Dublin without going to see the Molly Malone statue. I waited in line to get my photo taken with Molly.

The man before me reached up and pawed Molly’s rather voluptuous chest...very mature but apparently that is quite common behaviour I was told. šŸ˜
Now some random Dublin buildings...

Notice the flowers in the window boxes on the left of the next photo.

The flowers are real šŸ’•

On that first day of the tour ( remember only from 3pm! šŸ¤Ŗ) we had a tour of the Guinness Brewery and dinner in the private dining room there.
Photo shows DH beside a kangaroo which was used in one of the Guinness advertisements.

Another ad used...

And more advertising merchandise...

The tour was interesting and the dinner was quite enjoyable but the best part for me was the time between the tour ending and dinner. We went to a rooftop bar where we were given a free drink.

But it wasn’t the drink that enthralled me...it was the view!

Last photos for this post were taken at Trinity College. It was Fresher Week so that explains all the stalls. Just like Orientation Week at Aussie universities.

So there you have it; some scenes of Dublin.

That was a great view, Maria. It's funny that the letter boxes are green and not red :-)

The flowers in the window boxes are amazing. It is so hard to keep something like that alive here because the hot winds just dry them out. But they look lush and gorgeous.

Hi Maria, 2 nights ago on the Antiques Roadshow there was a collection of rare and valuable Guinnes advertising ceramics, you may be able to watch it as catch up,online.

I always wondered how in the heck those window boxes that are so high are watered. They are very beautiful and look well looked after.

Thanks for sharing your photo's with us.

God bless.
