Next we drove to the University of Southern Queensland campus to visit the Japenese garden there. It was, as expected a very quiet and serene place. DH has had no experience of such gardens and was a bit disappointed that there were no garden beds brimming with flowering annuals. There was that usual feeling of 'naturalness', the water features and the curves that feature so often in these types of gardens.
The hedge in the foreground clipped into a curved mound
The very typical bridge...
More shrubs clipped into dome shapes
Light 'dancing' on the water
Most of the ducks were swimming too fast for me...
More lovely reflections...and a lantern nestled under the tree...
A small man made waterfall...
The echiums at the front of the cafe/restaurant complex at Picnic Point
The view from our table in the cafe...
A panorama photo of the lookout at Picnic Point; the restaurant/cafe is on the right of the photo

The flag pole on PP; you can see it from way back from the bottom of the range
Time to leave Picnic Point and head for the next public garden display....
