The 'Giraffe Onesie'...

Last year while we were staying in San Francisco, DH and I took the ferry over to Sausalito. We had found this to be a delightful area when we visited in 2011 so looked forward to a return visit.
After a leisurely lunch we strolled along looking in shop windows...
In the window of one of the shops, I saw a cute little baby outfit. Before we had left Australia, we had found out that we were going to be grandparents...so Cha Cha Cha looked like a good place to find some baby 'stuff'. We didn't know what gender the baby would be so, despite falling in love with lots of little girl outfits, to play it safe, I ended up buying the outfit that had enticed me into the shop...giraffe onesie and 'lion socks'.
And a few weeks ago little Anthea had 'grown' into the outfit.

But it looks like it won't be long before Anthea 'grows out of' that outfit! In the meantime she looks pretty cute in it.

A trip to Sausalito...

On our last day in San Francisco DH went out to Sausalito on the ferry. We had loved this place on our 2011 visit so were keen to have some time there again. A bit of a wait for the ferry at Pier 41.

I sat inside out of the sun, while DH braved the hot noon sun to take some photos...

Looking back towards the Ferry building...

This is the 'other side' of Alcatraz Island...the tours land on the opposite side so we didn't even know about all these other buildings when we did a tour in 2011.
Now approaching Sausalito...
We had lunch at a lovely Italian restaurant, Poggias' Trattoria,  before walking around the district.

There are great views of San Francisco from Sausalito.
There was a bit of special shopping to be done at a lovely store in Sausalito; the store's name is Cha Cha Cha. I had seen something in the shop window that enticed me in for a closer look. Of course, once inside, I looked at everything! But ended up buying what I had first seen in the window!
You see DH will become a grandfather for the first time in February. A very exciting time for the family! (DsD2 is the mum to be)

On the way back we saw yet another view of Alcatraz.
