First Friday of the month yesterday, so it was Friday Night with Friends last night. This event is organised by Cheryll over at Gone Stitchin' and this is how she describes it...
*********************************************************************************
'' We "meet" on the first Friday night of the month to enjoy a night of crafting. You can spend YOUR time with fabric, thread, paint, wool or porcelain and can be by your own hand or by machine... IT IS... whatever YOU like to do.
It's just a fun night in our own homes to sit and enjoy ourselves crafting withFRieNDs. These "friends" could be in our neighbourhood, country or on the other side of the globe! We are NOT alone...lol.
SO... get the hubby and kids organised... order the pizza... chill the wine...thenEnJoY some "ME TiMe".
Just sign up before the date each month and then work your magic on the Friday night... then on Saturday or Sunday... post a pic on your blog and we'll all come by for a visit.
We love to encourage, praise and admire ALL forms of craft so please join in when you are able to.
*********************************************************************************************************************************
So what did I get up to last night...??
Firstly I did some 'secret sewing' for one of the swaps that I've signed up for... I've ended up drawing up a design and I had worked on some of the lettering last night ready for tracing on to some fabric...

Because I'm 'making it up' there's a degree of 'fiddling' with the fabrics going on :-) This will be part of the 'middle' of this project but a bit more tweaking is required.
But last night, I cut and then pieced the borders on this secret project...
And I finished the evening with some knitting...at present I have 2 chevron (ripple) rugs on the go. This one is in indigenous colours. I'm having lots of fun with this one. I started off with some Red Heart Super Saver which is a US yarn and compares to about a 10ply. But as an experiment, I'm also using some textured yarns just to see how it goes. You know me...always looking for another way to do things! lol
Last night 61 people signed up for FNwF...why not go and visit some of the other 60??? I try and visit a few 'new' blogs each month as well as all my favourites.
