Jimmy’s nemesis ðŋ...photo taken in 2016.
When DH, Anthea and I arrived at the Vet’s we were told that the council dog catcher had been called and Jimmy had been taken to a council run pound. ( so much for what DD2 has been told)
So we went to pick him up and pay the fine...or as a friend later commented, ‘ to break Jimmy out of the big house ð!’
First I had a form to fill out and lots of questions to answer. A check of registration records showed that Jimmy’s annual registration due in May 2019 was very overdue...oops! So the rego fee and a day’s pound fees were duly paid and we went to the big green gate and waited for staff to bring Jimmy out to us. A little tan and white dog was brought out, but it wasn’t him! The staff then let us in to the area where usually the public isn’t allowed...to make sure we got the right dog! ðĪŠ
And there he was in a ‘top floor’ cage. He let everyone know that we were his people! ð
He was so happy!
So that’s how we became dog owners again! Jimmy had always spent time with us while his family were on holidays so we were used to each other.
Missy ate the quilt that I had made her years ago and then she had also eaten Jimmy’s. Jimmy’s quilt featured Richard Scarry book characters whom DD2 had loved as a child.
Missy’s ‘grandma quilt’...
so he now has a knitted blankie.
Jimmy loves us and any friends or relatives who come to visit...
And we love him! ð
Jimmy is very happy to now be living with Bruce and you.... ❤️
