I thought it might be nice to use some glass parfait glasses but I suspect I took them to the Red Cross Op Shop in a cleanup last year. So wine glasses and other little dishes have been used instead.
But I did find some glass dishes that my mum used to use when I was a little girl...
On the savoury side I'm allowed to eat puréed soup which is sieved and then thinned with milk...and once again, I thought that if I have to eat this stuff, meal after meal,(6 tiny meals per day)I'm going to use the 'best' china! Lol
My 'best friend' at the moment...Today I have not needed to take anything for the shoulder tip pain so that's great and where the 5 little cuts are, have not been sore at any time, so hurrah for laparoscopic surgery!
Yesterday I used some scraps of yarn to make some 'middles' of some granny squares and the plan is then to continue with rounds to make them 10 inches.
DH is not well either as he's hit another obstacle to full recovery after his op 5 weeks ago...he has been battling a UTI for over a week but has had medication for it since Saturday. So I'm not getting 'waited on', instead the 2 of us are muddling through together. We'll get there eventually!!!
Sorry to hear that DH is not well either - such a shame as I was picturing you being pampered! I do hope that he gets better soon and that you continue to improve. xx
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are recovering well after the op and trying to get moving again - hope your recovery continues to be positive!!!
ReplyDeleteSending you both lots of hugs. Hope your both feeling better soon xxx
ReplyDeleteHang in there, Maria. Hope you're both feeling lots better before too long. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat better time to use the good china! Specially if it brings happy memories and makes you smile. Hope you both are feeling much better soon.
ReplyDeleteI hope both of you are feeling better very soon to enjoy the holiday season! Wishing you a speedy recovery.

your diet does not sound very inviting I do not blame you using the best china etc to cheer you up whilst eating. It seems such a shame qe all have nice things kept in a cupboard that only come out occassionally. Good to see the flowers are coming along well, take care and do as you are told!
ReplyDeleteYou take care ok 💙
ReplyDeleteGood to hear you are home and recovering - prepare yourself for peaks and troughs in that department. Remember how we used to say about children sleeping making them better. Well it applies to adults as well.
ReplyDeleteTake care
Cathy
I'll bet you are both hoping for a medically better 2016 - its good that you have each other to help. Food is going to be a bit boring for a while it seems.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Sorry to hear you have been unwell. Hope it all continues on an positive path, for you & hubby, for the future
ReplyDeleteLovely idea to use your pretty china. Sorry to hear there's "muddling through" happening rather than all-out pampering. I hope you're both feeling much better soon.
ReplyDeleteUsing your pretty dishes is such a nice idea!
ReplyDeleteI find it very loving that the two of you are helping each other. Feel Better to both of you!
