Now I know why!

This story starts a few weeks or so before Easter. Knitting for Brisbane's Needy was selling knitted chickens as a fundraiser. These chickens had been knitted and donated by one of the members. I decided to buy 4 to give to my neighbour's family for Easter. I opted to buy separately the Creme eggs that 'filled' the little knitted chicken, so as to not have the eggs melting in the hot weather while waiting for Easter. So I put the chickens away safely...you know what comes next don't you?

Yep, I couldn't find the chicks when it was time to pack them with an egg each and wrap them up. DH helped me look but still the chicks stayed missing. I was sure I remembered putting them in one of the cubes in the IKEA shelves we have in the little bedroom that we have set up as a computer room.

I ended up buying 4 more chicks and this time I bought them with a Creme egg already in each. And it was this second lot of chicks that I gave to my neighbour on Easter Day. This morning I found those first lot of chickens...they were under some fabric on a table in another spare bedroom which I call my sewing room :-/

And of course I still have those 4 Creme eggs I had bought before...

But I now understand why things like this happen to me...it was all explained in a leaflet which was included in the envelope which also contained the results of my recent sleep study...I added a little 'call out' to the photo I took of this leaflet...it explains it all!

Well that's my story and I'm 'sticking' to it! Lol

  1. I just found out today Maria that sniffing rosemary improves memory. I think we all have these moments. My worst one is walking into a room to get something and forget what I came for. ")

  2. It's a true story Maria.....no oxygen to your brain = poor memory and concentration. We'll need an update on your new improved memory after you've been on the machine a while :

  3. lol...Im sure the neighbours would like some more eggs and the little chicks wil keep til next year..assuming you can find them then!!!
I sometimes make myself a word document or send myself an email (to which I then add a reminder) to remind me where I've hidden things I've bought as a gift...sad isnt it?
