Building progress up to October 4...

Bright and early one morning, the mobile crane arrived and parked in the back street.

This time the crane operator was lifting bundles of roofing sheets up to the top level of the houses...

I normally take photos of the site from the front...this is at the back of the property...

The next photo was taken from our back yard...

Another view of the back of the properties...

Hmmm...looks a real jumble there...you can see that the roof guttering is all in place...

Some of the roofs are skillion while others are single gable roofs...this is the front house closest to our boundary...

I took the next photo on our front veranda...showing the roofline...

I stood back a bit so that I could get the 3 levels of the house in the photo...most of the lower level is below ground level...

The top of the downpipes have been put in the guttering, then long strips of heavy plastic have been attached. The wind blowing these long strips around over the weekend has resulted in lots of noise from the flapping :-(

Looking across that houses front patio/balcony/deck...

I'm still standing on our front veranda but now I've turned to face the other direction...and what do I see????

To be fair, I used the zoom; the latest building site is about 5 houses away from us. Progress continues...:-/

  1. Building sites always look like a jumble to me! Guess an up side to being closed in is that there could be a 'crafty' person or two move into the units!!
