For a while I've noticed on other people's blogs, some delightful wall quilts depicting that blogger. Eventually, I found that Carol, at mamacjt.blogspot, was responsible for making these beautiful little quilts. I read the details on Carol's sidebar and emailed her about the possibility of her making a 'me'...
Carol replied that she could definitely make one for me and within the hour I had emailed my particulars and some photos. I was assigned the number 34. This morning I received an email asking if my parcel had arrived as No 35, also a Queenslander, had already received her quilt; both quilts had been mailed at the same time. I had to report that it had not arrived but when I later went down to the car, ready to head off to a Knit and Natter, there was my parcel under the house...the mail contractor obviously came early this morning! I gathered the box up and put it in the car; I had the idea that I might open it in front of the 'girls' at the K&N. But then I decided to open it when I went home, as DH would then be home from golf...I wanted him to be there at the opening :-)
So...without further ado...
Opening the lid of the box and there is some tissue paper...
Carefully lift back the paper and there are brown eyes 'looking at me'...
Look at that lovely spiral quilting....
DH and I are just so enchanted with the quilt...there are little purple streaks in my hair and look at the gorgeous dangly type earrings that I love so much! Love the necklace and the tape measure straps!!
Thank you so much Carol...I love your 'me'.
