FNSI

I was organised last Friday for this month's FNSI and as a result I have a completed item for one of the Christmas Swaps that I've signed up for. I am so grateful to fellow bloggers like Heidi who organise features such as the FNSI as it takes me out of 'my comfort zone' and gets me stitching. Over the years I've tended to do less sewing and concentrate more on knitting or crochet projects. I think the reason for that is that sewing projects take more preparation time with tracing, cutting, etc required before you can begin; knitting I just need the yarn, pattern and needles.

So here is the item that I've made...a hexie Christmas decoration. It doesn't show up in the photo, but I was lucky to find a small piece of gold fabric in my stash, for the centre hexagon and the green fabric (also from the stash) has touches of gold in it too :-) The hexie flower is resting on another swap project, an edged face washer. On Friday night I just started the edging but finished it last night.

So visit Heidi's blog using the link above and see what other people worked on last Friday night.

Don't forget that FNSI is for all of us to do ANY craft we want, not just 'sewing'
