We sang it at summer camp and I was an adult before I knew what a kookaburra looked like. How fortunate to have them in the garden. I couldn't work the video of the one going around on your clothes dryer but I am seeing him in my imagination! So it is interesting seeing Carol's comment that she didn't know why the song mentioned laughing. You would think that teachers might have done a bit of explaining of the song when teaching it to kids.Vireyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16464838238295059335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1539053308616126531.post-41971971729804691952017-02-21T13:53:58.583-08:002017-02-21T13:53:58.583-08:00It is such a treat to have wild birds visit the ga...It is such a treat to have wild birds visit the garden. I never knew there was a reason for the line in the song telling the bird to laugh!! I hope it was well behaved and didn't soil your clothes. :D It must be very entertaining to have these birds hanging around. It was interesting to see that you have magpies there - we have them here as well.Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07740791822099663516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1539053308616126531.post-74160549964442260562017-02-21T01:31:21.853-08:002017-02-21T01:31:21.853-08:00Hello Maria, well what an absolute treat for you t...Hello Maria, well what an absolute treat for you to have the Kookaburra in your garden!
That's so nice too that he's not worried away by the other birds.
Thanks for organising the video, it downloaded well and was lovely to watch.
